LAHORE: The Grand Health Alliance (GHA) protest entered its 23rd day on Monday, marking the third week of the ongoing demonstration. The protesters attempted to march towards the Chief Minister of Punjab’s house, leading to a clash between the police and the protesters.

The Grand Health Alliance has been holding the sit-in for nearly three weeks, with healthcare workers, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics, continuing to demand that the government halt the outsourcing of health centers to private contractors.

The healthcare workers argue that such privatization would worsen the already strained conditions in public hospitals, leading to a decline in the quality of care and job security for medical staff.
