Rainfall and hailstorms in Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and surrounding areas have brought a noticeable drop in temperatures.
Hail was reported in Rawalpindi, while Lahore experienced light rain. However, the cool breeze that followed offered much-needed relief to residents after many days of heat.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has said that overall, Pakistan is experiencing hot weather. However, some areas in Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Upper Punjab, and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to receive rain.
Today’s highest maximum temperature was recorded in Jacobabad, Mohenjo-daro, and Dadu at 46°C, while Sibi and Rahim Yar Khan recorded 45°C.
A warning has also been issued stating that wind, dust-thunderstorms, hailstorms, and lightning may damage loose structures such as electric poles, trees, vehicles, and solar panels during today (evening/night) and on May 12.
According to the PMD, a shallow trough of westerly wave is affecting the northern and central parts of the country. Moist currents from the Arabian Sea are also penetrating the central and upper regions.
On Monday, hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However partly cloudy weather with rain dust/windstorm/thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Upper/Central Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Moderate to heavy rain/hail may also occur at isolated places.
