Pakistan security forces and law enforcement agencies have conducted a joint intelligence-based operation on Friday killing four terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Swat district.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated, “During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged khwarij location, resultantly four khwarij were sent to hell.”

An IBO is an intelligence based operation which is conducted by the security forces after they’ve received a credible source of intelligence about the presence of terrorists in a specific area.

“Sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area,” added the military’s media wing.

Pakistan has witnessed a sharp increase in terrorism in the past three years, with Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa being the mostly affected.

Pakistan has officially named Afghanistan multiple times for their inaction against the presence of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP); however, Afghan authorities deny their presence on their soil.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned about another violent Islamabad hailstorm in the coming days. This comes just after a powerful storm battered the city, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

The department also warned about a return of high temperatures in the next few days. A possible heatwave may follow, making it clear that Islamabad is facing a cycle of extreme and unpredictable weather.

Climate experts point to a global pattern, noting that changing climates are making storms more intense and harder to predict. The Islamabad hailstorm is just one example of how fast weather can turn from hot and dry to cold and violent.
