WEBDESK: The gold price in Pakistan on Wednesday reached an all-time high as rates continued to surge both locally and internationally. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold increased sharply by Rs8,600 per tola. This brings the price to a record Rs348,000 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs7,373, now standing at Rs298,353. This marks the second consecutive day of significant price hikes.
In the international market, gold prices climbed by $46 , with the price of gold reaching $3,310 per ounce. A day earlier, the global price had gone up by $6, bringing it to $3,224 per ounce.
This global increase directly affected the local market. On Tuesday, the gold price in Pakistan today also went up by Rs514 per 10 grams, reaching Rs290,980. The rapid increase in just two days has surprised many buyers and sellers across the country.
Many people are now considering whether to invest in gold before prices rise further.
