A passenger Southwest Airlines plane avoided a major plane crash when a private jet appeared out of nowhere at Chicago Midway International Airport.
The plane was landing when the private jet came in front of it. The pilots then chose to perform the go-around to prevent the plane crash.
A dramatic video posted on social media has gone viral in which the close contact between the aircrafts can be seen.
International media reported that the Southwest aircraft passed over the private jet at an uncorrected pressure altitude of 900 feet, or roughly 250 feet above the ground after compensating for elevation and pressure.
The passengers of Southwest plane also spoke to the media, saying that they were unaware of what was happening but were grateful to be safe.
