Iranian President addresses nation, calls for unity amid Israeli attacks
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has spoken to the nation in a televised address, calling for unity in the face of Israeli attacks.
He said Iran is not “the aggressors” and urged citizens to “stand together hand in hand” to defend the country.
Referring to those killed, Pezeshkian said, “Every fallen martyr will be followed by hundreds who will continue the banner,” in a message aimed at rallying public support and resilience.
Israeli minister threatens civilians, says Tehran residents will “pay the price” soon
Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz has issued a strong warning to Iran following deadly overnight missile attacks that left at least five people dead and many others injured in Israel.
In a message posted on his Telegram channel, Katz said the people of Tehran would “pay the price – and soon” for the strikes that targeted civilians.
Katz also took aim at Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, calling him “the boastful dictator from Tehran” who had become “a cowardly murderer” by ordering attacks on Israel’s civilian population.
He said the strikes were aimed at discouraging the Israeli military from continuing its campaign, which he claimed was severely weakening Iran’s abilities.

Fires break out at Haifa power plant after Iran strike
Fires have broken out at a power station near the port of Haifa in northern Israel, after what appears to be an Iranian strike.
Earlier reports had focused on casualties and damage in central parts of the country, but new information now indicates that attacks are also occurring in the north.
According to the UK-based maritime security company Ambrey, flames were seen at the power plant located near Haifa’s port.
The firm also said it had reviewed video footage showing Israeli forces trying to intercept the strike, which was followed by the impact of two hyper-sonic missiles.
