WEBDESK: PIA flight operation updates after Israel attacks Iran unprovoked. Following Israel’s large-scale attacks on Iranian military sites, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has adjusted its flight paths for several international routes.

Due to the closure of Iranian airspace, the national carrier has rerouted services heading to the Gulf countries, Toronto, and Paris.

Flights bound for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the UAE will now travel through the Muscat Flight Information Region.

Similarly, routes to Paris and Toronto are being diverted via Omani airspace to maintain smooth and safe travel, a PIA spokesperson confirmed.

These changes come in the aftermath of deadly Israeli strikes that reportedly targeted sensitive Iranian locations such as nuclear and missile facilities.

Pakistan expressed full support for the Iranian people and warned that these provocations posed a serious threat to peace and stability, not only in the region but beyond.

It urged the UnitedNations and the international community to step forward and halt the aggression, immediately, and to hold responsible parties accountable.

Recently, several international airlines took precautionary measures in response to escalating tensions in the Middle East.

German airline Lufthansa had announced the suspension of all its flights to and from Tehran following widespread Israeli airstrikes on Iran.

In an emailed statement at the time, the airline said, “Lufthansa Group flights to and from Tehran will be suspended until further notice due to the current situation.”

Lufthansa also confirmed that its aircraft would temporarily avoid flying over Iranian, Iraqi, and Israeli airspace for safety reasons.

Similarly, Russia’s national carrier Aeroflot cancelled its scheduled flights between Moscow and Tehran and made adjustments to some of its other routes across the Middle East in light of the worsening situation.

Around the same time, Israeli airlines including El Al, Israir, and Arkia relocated their aircraft from Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport.
