A severe heatwave in Pakistan has been predicted during the last 10 days of Ramadan by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The weather is expected to be pleasant during the first half of the holy month, however, the second half of March is going to be difficult due to the heatwave.

The department mentions that temperature in Karachi could rise up to 40 degrees Celsius.
In this regard, Karachiites are advised to take necessary precautions against the expected heatwave in Pakistan, particularly during the final days of Ramadan.
Prior to this prediction of heatwave in Pakistan, the PMD announced a new spell of rain for the country, starting from Monday.
According to the PMD, a westerly meteorological system is likely to hit Pakistan, bringing rain to several areas. Hailstorms are expected in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad.
Furthermore, the PMD warned of flash floods and the possibility of landslides in steep areas. Tourists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel for safety reasons.
Karachi is also expected to have a largely cloudy sky.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on February 28, Friday in Peshawar for the moon sighting of the holy month.
If the moon is sighted on February 28, the first roza will be on March 1st, Saturday in Pakistan. However, according to the scientific calendar, the first Roza will be seen on February 28th.
Countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, and Iran are expected to see the Ramadan moon on the same day as Pakistan. However, Arab countries like Saudia Arabia are expected to have their first Roza a day before Pakistan.
