A massive explosion occurred on Monday in Balochistan’s Noshki area when a truck filled with petrol caught fire, injuring more than 20 people on the spot.
Videos emerged on social media showcasing harrowing scenes of a massive explosion while people ran for their lives.
Jang News reported that the explosion in Noshki killed the truck driver on the spot while the injured people were being shifted to the nearby hospital.
Police officials say that 4 police personnel, including a DSP, are among the 20 injured. According to media reports, the fire was allegedly caused by welding the truck’s tank while it had petrol.
Police say that the fire caused a stampede among people nearby due to the explosion. According to details, the truck was parked at the base, which caught fire; however, the driver took the truck to an open field.
If the driver had not taken the affected truck forward, there would have been a major disaster. There are dozens of oil shops at the truck base, and the accident could have led to a much more horrible incident.
