United States is working to deescalate tensions between Pakistan and India: US State Department

In a significant development, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce during a press briefing revealed that the United States is working to reduce tensions between India and Pakistan.

Bruce further revealed that the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will contact his counterparts in Pakistan and India to deescalate the rising tensions between nuclear-armed countries.

Bruce said that the US is playing an active role for peace and stability in South Asia and wants better relations between the two nuclear powers.

The spokesperson said that the US emphasizes that solutions to problems should be found through dialogue.
