Pakistan’s government is considering dropping the ban that affects new Gas Connections for families. It is happening due to growing worry among the public about the need for new connections for home internet in many areas.

For the past several years, there has been a complete halt on new domestic Gas Connections due to a shortage of natural gas. This step was taken to handle the limited amount of energy and continue powering the people using their services. The country’s natural gas engineers estimate that about 7–8 per cent of the reserves are being emptied every year which makes supplying all the necessary gas difficult.
