Salman Khan’s Sikandar box office collection has become a hot topic among fans who had been waiting for their superstar’s comeback on the big screen. Sikandar, which was released on March 30, Sunday in India on Eid-ul-Fitr, has failed to attract fans to cinemas, and the movie has not earned as expected.
Experts say that the movie has not earned much because it was released on Sunday. It could have earned more if it was released on Friday because then it would have had the advantage of the weekend. However, other experts believe that Salman Khan’s Sikandar box office collection is low because audiences have gotten bored with Salman’s same style of movies.
The budget of the movie was reportedly Rs200 crore.
Salman Khan’s Sikandar box office collection
Day | Collection |
---|---|
Day 1 | Rs26 crore |
Day 2 | Rs29 crore |
Day 3 | Rs19.5 crore |
Day 4 | Rs9.75 crore |
Day 5 | Rs6 crore |
Day 6 | Rs3.75 crore |
The movie which started with Rs26 crore on Day 1 has now fallen to Rs3.75 crore. This is a major blow for Salman Khan, whose movies like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, and Dabangg have crossed hundreds of crores at the Indian box office alone.
Movie critics are also calling it a ‘disaster’. Due to low ticket sales, many theatres in India have removed the movie, and some have replaced Sikandar with other films.
