WEBDESK: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s new film Sikandar is facing difficulties at the box office, despite being released during the Eidul Fitr holidays.

The movie, which hit theatres on March 30, started with decent earnings of INR 26 crore. On the first day of Eid, the film saw an increase in box office collections, reaching INR 29 crore. However, Sikandar witnessed a significant drop on Tuesday, with earnings falling by about 32 per cent to INR 19.5 crore.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the film had earned INR 3.88 crore, bringing its total to INR 78.38 crore. Indian trade analysts believe that the box office collections for Sikandar will likely continue to decline. In fact, the film has already been replaced by other titles like The Diplomat and All The Best Pandya in some theatres in cities such as Surat and Ahmedabad.

Sikandar

‘Sikandar’ today is struggling to keep up with previous Salman Khan Eid releases like Tiger 3 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which were much more successful. Typically, a Salman Khan Eid release would reach INR 100 crore within the first three days, but it seems that Sikandar will take longer, possibly five days, to achieve this milestone.

Despite the High expectations sikandar’s teaser had set for the fans, the movie now falls short of expectations. It looks like Sikandar’s box office performance today is a rare disappointment for Salman Khan.
