ISLAMABAD: The captains of all six teams taking part in the Pakistan Super League PSL 10 on Thursday came together in a joint press conference to share their excitement about the upcoming tournament. As the league gets ready to kick off, the message from the players is one of unity and pride in showcasing top-quality cricket at home.

National team captain and the captain Multan Sultan, Mohammad Rizwan expressed his happiness and said that regardless of which team lifts the PSL trophy this year, the real winner will be Pakistan. “This league belongs to the people of Pakistan. Whoever wins, it will be Pakistan’s victory,” he said.

“We haven’t played our best cricket recently and may have disappointed fans. But in PSL 10, InshaAllah, we’ll give them something to cheer for,” he further added. “Some support Multan, others support Peshawar, Lahore, or other teams, his is the beauty of the PSL,” he said.

Peshawar Zalmi captain, Babar Azam said that all teams in PSL 10 are strong and competitive. “Every team is here to win. Peshawar Zalmi has built a strong combination, and we’ll try our best to show great cricket to our fans,” he added.

He further said that all teams have top players, and whoever lifts the PSL 10 trophy, the real winner will be Pakistan, as the league brings joy to the nation and strengthens the local cricket scene.

Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan expressed confidence in his team. “Rawalpindi is our home ground. We promise fans that we’ll play great cricket. Islamabad United will enter this tournament with fresh strategies,” he said.

Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi emphasized the importance of PSL in developing new talent. “The league has given Pakistan amazing players like Haris Rauf. Win or lose, it’s part of the game. What matters is that cricket is back in Pakistan, and that’s a victory in itself,” he said.

Karachi Kings captain Hasan Ali shared that the team has made important changes to its squad. “We’ve focused on selecting better players for PSL 10, and fans will see a stronger Karachi Kings in action this season,” he said.

PSL 10 Match Venues

  • Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host 11 matches
  • National Bank Stadium Karachi and Multan Cricket Stadium will each host 5 matches
  • Gaddafi Stadium Lahore will host the most, with 13 matches, including the final on May 18

PSL Opening Ceremony 2025

The opening ceremony of PSL 10 is set to take place on Friday at 7 PM, with a grand celebration planned. Legendary Sufi singer Abida Parveen, pop star Ali Zafar, and popular groups like Young Stunners will perform at the event. Other artists including Abrar-ul-Haq, Natasha Baig, and Talha Anjum will also be part of the official PSL anthem performance.

PSL 10 Traffic Plan for Karachi:

Karachi police have announced a detailed traffic plan for the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) X matches at the National Bank Cricket Arena, scheduled from April 12 to 21, 2025.

At following routes Heavy traffic will not be allowed:

  • PPP Chowrangi to University Road
  • Millennium to New Town
  • Stadium Signal to Hassan Square
  • Liaquatabad No. 10 to Hassan Square
  • Sohrab Goth to NIPA
  • Karsaz to the Stadium

PSL 10 Traffic Plan for Rawalpindi/ Islamabad:

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 is set to start with an opening ceremony, followed by the match between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars on Friday, April 11, at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Traffic plan for Islamabad is also announced in which Traffic from the club road will be diverted towards Srinagar Highway via Serena Chowk. However, Murree road will be completely closed on April 13 and May 17.
