PSL 10 Matches: traffic plan and alternative routes for Islamabad, Rawalpindi

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 is set to start with an opening ceremony, followed by the match between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars on Friday, April 11, at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

As fans are excited for the start of the tournament, many people are concerned about the possible traffic jams and alternative routes during PSL 10 matches in Rawalpindi.

The traffic issue is mostly for those who live around Rawalpindi’s stadium and those who travel daily from Rawalpindi to Islamabad and vice versa.

PSL X – Alternate Routes

Club Road: Traffic will be diverted towards Srinagar Highway via Serena Chowk.

Murree Road (Faizabad to Double Road): Complete closure on April 13 and May 17 during team movements (5pm departure, 11pm return). On double-header match days, extended restrictions from 11am to 11pm.

From Islamabad to Rawalpindi: Vehicles will be diverted towards Islamabad Expressway from Faizabad.

From Rawalpindi to Islamabad: An alternate route will be provided from 6th Road Chowk via Saidpur Road.

For Ninth Avenue commuters: Traffic will be diverted towards IJP Road.

Stadium Road: Will remain closed during match hours from Ninth Avenue Chowk to Double Road.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the opening ceremony will begin at 7 PM, followed by the opening match between the defending champions Islamabad United and the two-time title winners Lahore Qalandars at 8:30pm.

PSL 10 matches will be played in Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, and Multan, with the final taking place on May 18 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
