WEBDESK: Indian media outlets, have begun targeting Azaad Digital for its coverage of the recent Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir. The criticism centres around Azaad Digital’s reporting, which highlighted key details and questioned official narratives surrounding the attack.
Several Indian news organisations have accused Azaad Digital of spreading misinformation and engaging in a so-called propaganda campaign. The accusations emerged after the outlet published updates and reports that contradicted the narrative being presented by Indian authorities.
Indian media claims that the platform used its social media channels and website to amplify unverified claims and stir tensions in the region. According to them, the reporting contributed to confusion and further complicated the already tense situation following the deadly incident.

“The poster was created by the Islamabad-based digital media site “Azaad Urdu”, which was shared more than 90 times with the caption written in Urdu “Pakistanis reject Indian propaganda”, said India Today.
In response, Azaad Digital has issued a firm statement defending its journalism, saying it is being targeted simply for “reporting facts. The platform’s articles and videos remain live across its digital channels, with audiences from both Pakistan and India engaging in debate over the outlet’s role in regional news coverage.
