FAISLABAD: Police have arrested one suspect involved Faislabad Motorway gang rape case in Sandal Bar area. named Ali Sher who has confessed to raping the woman along with his accomplices as per Superintendent of Police (SP) Abid Zafar.SP Iqbal Division.
SP Abid Hussain Zafar, revealed the details of Faislabad Motorway gang rape case in a press conference.
According to SP Abid Zafar, a group of criminals stopped a couple near Maryamabad in Channan village and robbed them. During the robbery, the suspects raped the woman.
Using modern technology, police traced and arrested one of the suspects, Ali Sher. During interrogation, Ali Sher confessed to committing the crime with two accomplices, Umar Hayat and Faisal. The arrested suspect was presented before the media during the press conference.
SP Abid Zafar ssid that efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining two suspects. Police have launched raids to take them into custody.The police investigators managed to track down Ali Sher within 24 hours of the incident.
The victim underwent a medical examination, and an investigation is proceeding on merit, SP Abid Zafar confirmed. He further revealed that Faisal, one of the wanted suspects, has a criminal record involving robbery and theft.
The incident occurred when the suspects stopped the couple, covering the woman’s face with a cloth, preventing her from identifying them. One of the culprits was heard instructing another to turn off the motorcycle’s light, referring to him as “Rana.”
Based on this clue, the police arrested Ali Sher, who is known in the village by the name “Rana.” Forensic evidence, including stains on the victim’s clothes, has been collected, and further findings will emerge after DNA testing, SP Abid Zafar stated.
Adnan Masih the husband of the victim said that he was tied up by the two criminals as they took his wife in nearby field where “one by one, they raped my wife.”
