Nadaaniyan is a 2025 Indian Hindi-language teen romantic comedy film directed by Shauna Gautam and produced by Karan Johar released on March 7.

The movie has gotten a terrible response with Rotten Tomatoes giving it a 17% rating and IMDb giving it a measly 3.2/10 rating.

We talked with Taimoor Iqbal on Friday, after he posted the screenshot of his Instagram story reply, he suddenly got from Ibrahim Ali Khan.

Taimoor expressed his surprise at Bollywood’s up-and-coming new actor, saying: “I was shocked, jumped out of bed when I saw his reply. I wasn’t expecting it at all.”

“I post so many reviews regularly about different movies and wrote some harsh things about this terrible film while tagging him as well.”

He further added, “I don’t remember the exact words I wrote but I took a shot at his terrible acting and huge nose… I also said that he is destroying his father’s legacy with such horrible performance.”

It should be highlighted that the rom-com Nadaaniyan is getting slaughtered in reviews, with one critic from The Indian Express declaring, “Ibrahim Ali Khan makes one of the worst debuts in years.”

Rohan Naahar, a movie critic at The Indian Express, wrote: “Directed by Shauna Gautam, the Netflix romantic drama singlehandedly demolishes any argument that nepotism apologists might have preemptively constructed in the run-up to its release.”

Another local movie critic from The Express Tribune criticised the movie and its cast, writing: “There is something indescribably fun about hating nepo babies. And not just any nepo babies. An unusually potent vitriol greets them when they appear on our screens.”

Taimoor remarked that he couldn’t believe the actor replied to his story, later blocking him on Instagram.

We asked Taimoor whether his feelings got hurt from the message, to which he replied: “Absolutely not! I enjoyed it a lot. He is a Mumbai boy and the son of a big actor, so there is a possibility I hurt his ego.”
