Muneeb Ur Rehman Wins Gold in Cross-Country Skiing

Muneeb Ur Rehman secured the gold medal in the men’s 100-meter cross-country skiing race. He outperformed tough competitors, including Mongolia’s Amarjargal, who won silver, and China’s Mingjun Hong, who finished with bronze. Muneeb’s victory highlights his dedication and training for the Special Olympics, where athletes compete at the highest level.

Abdul Saboor Takes First Place in Snowshoeing

In another thrilling event, Abdul Saboor claimed gold in the men’s 400-meter snowshoeing race. He finished ahead of Romania’s Ionut Petrisor and Macau’s Chi Fong, who won silver and bronze, respectively. His win further strengthens Pakistan’s presence in the Special Olympics, proving that Pakistani athletes can compete with the best in the world.

Pakistan’s Medal Tally Grows

The Pakistani team finished the Special Olympics event with an impressive haul of 11 medals – six gold, three silver, and two bronze. Among the other winners, Afaq Khan also won gold in the 100-meter snowshoeing race.

Ronak Lakhani, Chairperson of Special Olympics Pakistan, congratulated the athletes, coaches, and staff for their hard work.
