WEBDESK (Azaad English): Pakistani senior tennis player Talha Waheed has made history by entering the Guinness World Records. He set a new record for the most successful tennis serves in one minute.
Talha Waheed, a well-known player in national and international senior tennis, has won multiple national titles in the 35+, 40+, and 45+ doubles categories. He has also played in international ITF senior tournaments, achieving a career-high ranking of 144 in the 40+ doubles category.
The previous record of 42 successful serves in one minute was held by John Perry from the United States since 2019. Talha decided to challenge this record and trained intensively for three months. On November 8, 2024, he made his official attempt in Lahore, following all Guinness World Records guidelines.
On March 10, 2025, Guinness World Records officially confirmed Talha Waheed achievement, making him the new world record holder.
Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, along with Secretary General Col. Zia-ud-Din Tufail and other officials, congratulated Talha on his remarkable achievement.
Qureshi praised Talha’s success, calling it a major moment for Pakistan’s tennis community. “Setting a Guinness World Record is not easy, and Talha’s achievement will inspire many young tennis players in the country,” he said.
Talha Waheed’s record-breaking performance has brought pride to Pakistan and is expected to encourage more players to aim for international recognition.
