KALAT: In a significant development, security forces on Satuday conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Kalat district killing at lease six terrorists.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release stated: “During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and after an intense fire exchange, six terrorists were successfully neutralised.”

Security situation in the country, particularly in Balochistan, has deteriorated at an alarming with the Jaffar Express train hijacking representing the magnitude of kinetic threats Pakistan faces.

The slain terrorists were also active in recent terrorist operations against law enforcement agencies as well as innocent civilians in the area.

A sanitisation operation is being conducted in the area to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area, according to military’s media wing.

“Pakistan’s security forces are determined to foil attempts to sabotage the peace, stability and development of Balochistan, in collaboration with the nation.”
