Rawalpindi Police on Saturday issued a comprehensive security plan for the city ahead of Eidul Fitr 2025.
According to Rawalpindi Police department spokesperson, more than 5,000 security personnel will be on duty during the Eidul Fitr 2025.
The Rawalpindi police has set up plans to provide protection to more than 700 mosques and Imambargahs during Eidul Fitr 2025.
Furthermore, heavy contingent of city’s traffic police will also be deployed to regulate the heavy traffic flow on Eid.
The spokesperson has also revealed the police’s plan to constitute special pickets aimed at preventing one-wheeling by motorcyclists.
CPO Rawalpindi revealed that 30 special pickets have been set up to prevent malicious and criminal activities for March 30 (Shawwal moon night).
More than 400 police officers will be on duty protecting the citizens tomorrow night as people flock to bazars for last minute Eidul Fitr 2025 shopping.
Elite, Dolphin Force, Ladies Police and Guard Squads will also be deployed on duty. Public spaces such as parks will be protected by more than 600 police officials during Eidul Fitr.
According to the CPO Rawalpindi, special squads will be on patrol on Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr.
Pakistan’s Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has revealed that that the chances of Shawwal moon’s visibility is high tomorrow.
According to SUPARCO, the Shawwal moon was formed on Saturday at 03:58PM today. By tomorrow’s sunset, the moon will be approximately 27 hours old, making its sighting in Pakistan highly likely.
Meanwhile, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is set to meet tomorrow to perform the moon sighting ceremony.
Zonal committees across the country will also participate in their respective cities to confirm the moon sighting and will provide testimonies to the main committee.
If the moon is sighted, Pakistan will celebrate Eidul Fitr on Monday.
