WEBDESK (Azaad English): The Sindh government decided to shift matric and intermediate exams to different dates in order to let students take advantage of the time available during Ramadan.
The annual matriculation exams which include the 9th-grade and 10th-grade sections will launch their sessions on April 7, 2025 contrary to the original schedule of March 15. The intermediate exam session starting with 11th and 12th grades will move from its original start date of April 15 to April 28 in 2025.
Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah lead the steering committee of Sindh Education Department to approve this decision. Senior education officials established this alteration because understanding examinations during the fasting month of Ramadan is more convenient for students.
The practical examination schedule for matric students begins on March 10 followed by an announcement for practical dates of intermediate students.
The educational year will initiate its start on April 7, 2025 instead of March in the upcoming academic period. Both summer and winter vacations will stay unchanged according to their existing schedules. Summer recess will span from June 1 to July 31 and winter vacations will occur between December 22 to December 31.
The educational authorities provided all educational institutions with details of the new schedule while directing students to organize themselves for upcoming activities.
