Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly deleted his tweet about the Pakistan-India ceasefire announced on Saturday.
He took to X to express his relief over the de-escalation between the two countries following heightened tensions.
Reportedly, Salman Khan had posted: “Thank God for the ceasefire.”

However, after facing backlash from Hindutva supporters who criticised his statement, he deleted the tweet.
Before this, the actor did not post anything regarding India’s attack on Pakistan because of which he came under fire too.
Salman Khan’s statement on Pahalgam
A day after Pahalgam incident, on April 23rd, he expressed his sadness over the tragedy.
He said, “Kashmir, heaven on planet earth turning into hell. Innocent people being targeted, my heart goes out to their families, adding that “To kill even one innocent person is like killing all of humanity.”
Even after this tweet, he was called out because of his religion and for not speaking against Pakistan.

Much of Bollywood is seen as being influenced by Modi’s government. Since India fired missiles toward Pakistan, several Indian celebrities publicly celebrated their army despite the deaths of civilians in Pakistan, which led to many Pakistanis unfollowing these actors.
But following the ceasefire news, those same celebrities tried to appear more positive, completely shifting their narrative to support peace.
Pak-Ind ceasefire
After Pakistan’s strong response to India, United States (US) President Donald Trump stepped in to rescue Indians and urged Pakistan to agree to a ceasefire, which Pakistan accepted for peace in the region.
Trump announced the ceasefire from his account on the Truth Social Platform.
“After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire,” he said.
“Congratulations to both countries on using common sense and great intelligence,” he added.
