A resident of Srinagar in Indian-Occupied Kashmir has raised serious questions about the recent Pahalgam attack.
He questioned how such an attack could occur in a heavily militarised area with over 700,000 Indian troops deployed.
Identifying himself as a long-time resident of Lal Gate in Srinagar, he called the incident a clear failure of government intelligence and security forces.
He also criticised Indian Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing him of using every opportunity to target Muslims instead of focusing on public safety.
“Pahalgam attack incident is being used to defame Kashmiris,” he said. “I have lived here since 1990 and seen it all. Even back then, when security forces could not walk freely, not a single tourist was harmed by locals”, he added.
The resident demanded a proper investigation into the incident.
According to reports, a total of 26 residents were killed after gunmen opened fire on tourists visiting Pahalgam.
Indian media propaganda exposed after Pahalgam attack
Indian media propaganda has once again come under fire after the recent Pahalgam incident, where without any concrete proof, Pakistan was quickly blamed for the attack.
The attack, which reportedly took place around 3:00pm, was followed just five minutes later by accusations aimed at Pakistan, according to sources. This hasty blame game raises serious questions about the authenticity of the claims.
Reports reveal that social media accounts linked to India’s intelligence agency RAW were quick to accuse Pakistan, even before any proper investigation began. Within 30 minutes, the hashtag #PakSponsoredTerror started trending on Indian Twitter, fueled by hundreds of accounts allegedly connected to the ruling BJP party.
Pakistan’s response to the Pahalgam attack
Earlier in the day, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif vehemently denied India’s claims linking Pakistan to the tragic incident in Occupied Kashmir that resulted in the deaths of more than 20 tourists.
“Pakistan has no connection to the Pahalgam attack. We do not support terrorism in any form, and locals should never be a target for terrorists. We have no doubt about this,” he said.
Some of the victims were killed by gunmen in front of their wives in a horrific act.
