WEBDESK: The Peshawar vs Quetta match in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) X at Rawalpindi cricket stadium got underway on 12th April when Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and chose to bowl first.
The Peshawar Zalmi team under the captaincy of Babar Azam is a strong favourite for the PSL 2025 title this year. Saim Ayub joins the experienced international player Alzarri Joseph and other promising young talent at Peshawar Zalmi. Their decision to bowl first shows they have faith in their bowling lineup to restrict Quetta Gladiators batters to a minimal target.
During this season Quetta Gladiators made a leadership change as Saud Shakeel was appointed captain of the team. The side aims to recover from numerous unsuccessful campaigns in the past four seasons.. Quetta Gladiators won the PSL trophy in 2019 but they have missed out on making the playoffs since that season.
The Peshawar vs Quetta match marks the first appearance for both teams in the 2025 edition of the tournament.
