WEBDESK: Azaad Fact Check has identified Indian propaganda and clarified that Pakistan has not requested any hypersonic missile from China and the news spread in this regard is based on lies that have no relation to reality

Fact-checking platform Azad Fact Check has dismissed claims made by an India-linked social media account suggesting that China rejected a request from Pakistan for hypersonic missile technology.

The platform stated that Pakistan never made such a request, calling the news false and misleading.

The fake news went via an X (formerly Twitter) account that is assumed to have links to India.

It alleged that Pakistan had requested the China DF-17 hypersonic missile system and its request was turned down.

However, Azad Fact Check clarified that no such request was ever made, and the story was part of a deliberate attempt to spread propaganda against Pakistan.

“This is a fabricated story with no connection to reality,” the platform said. “Its aim is to damage the image of Pakistan and create confusion about Pakistan-China relations.”

The image shared with the post showed the DF-17 missile, which has a range of over 1,800 kilometers.

Experts note that under the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR), the sale of such missiles is prohibited, especially to countries that are not part of the regime.

Azad Fact Check stressed that the claim is not just false, but part of a planned disinformation campaign.

The platform urged the public to verify such news through reliable sources and not fall for attempts to spread false narratives.

Indias misinformation propoganda

According to the misleading news spread by the X handle, China has rejected Pakistan’s request for hypersonic missiles.

While according to Independent Fact Check, the fact is that Pakistan has not requested any such request from China.

The missile shown in the picture is DF-17 which has a range of more than 1,800 km.

The sale of such missiles is prohibited under the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR).

This is not the first instance when Indian handles have been sharing misleading information about Pakistan on the internet.

Fact-checkers cautioned that this is how it tricks the masses to play with their opinion and develop antagonism among countries living next to each other.

It is urged to fact check information on your own or wait for reliable sources like the governments official notifications before believing in anything.

This is not the first time India has spread misinformation, clearly aiming at more sinister outcomes than only misguiding people.
