Security forces foil major infiltration attempt on Pak-Afghan border; 30 terrorists of Indian-backed Fitna al-Khawarij killed, ISPR

WEBDESK: Security forces thwarted a major terrorist infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, killing 30 militants affiliated with the Indian-backed extremist group “Fitna al-Khawarij, according to a statement issued by ISPR.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted in the Hasan Khel area of North Waziristan on the nights of July 1st–2nd and 2nd–3rd.

The ISPR said that the attempt by militants of Fitna al-Khawarij to enter Pakistan was met with a swift and forceful response from Pakistani forces, leading to the elimination of all terrorists involved. The group is described as being backed by India.

A large cache of weapons, explosives, and other military equipment was recovered from the slain militants.

The statement added that the timely action and vigilance of the security forces averted a major disaster.

The Pakistani authorities have also called on the Afghan government to ensure that its soil is not used by terrorist groups or foreign proxies and to take effective measures against such elements.

The Pakistan Army reaffirmed its commitment to defending the country’s borders and eliminating all threats, particularly those supported by India.
