Pakistani screenwriter, Khalil-ur-Rehman has said that after years of saying no to India now he would love to work in Bollywood.
In an interview, he said that he was treated badly and people made fun of him after his “honey trap” case, in which he was allegedly kidnapped and tortured.
“I had a principle for years that I would not work in India. I rejected many offers. But not anymore”, he added.
During the podcast, the writer told the hosts about the immense love and respect he receives from India. According to him, Bollywood actors and filmmakers sometimes video call him and start crying.
He further said that he never received such love from Pakistan and because of that he is in great pain.
Khalil-ur-Rehman talks about his case
Apart from talking about India, Khalil-ur-Rehman also talked about the incident when he was kidnapped.
The writer said he is very forgiving, but he still fought the case so that no one else would have to go through the same thing again.
He also recalled the time he was kidnapped, saying he wondered how people would react if he had died like that.
Recently, in this case, three suspects, including Amna Urooj, Mamoon Haider, and Zeeshan Qayyum sentenced 7 years of imprisonment.
Earlier, he had refused to work in India, believing that Indians did not show the same respect as Pakistanis do. He said that his love for his country did not allow him to accept work opportunities in India.
He also said that Indians do not know how to write a drama and Pakistani dramas are way better.
