ISLAMABAD (Azaad English): The residents who live in Islamabad I-10 sector experience severe challenges because Service Road North has been shut down for over three weeks. Service Road North remains closed for more than three weeks because 10th Avenue receives construction work for an overhead bridge.
The road serves as the main route which binds together I-10, 9th Avenue and the industrial district of I-9. Travelers face great trouble because of the lack of suitable detour options. A temporary unmetalled dirt road provided by officials creates additional problems because it remains challenging to access and travel through.

Difficulties faced by residents of Islamabad I-10:
Dust pollution stands as the largest environmental challenge affecting the residents living in this area.


Pollution from dust is causing allergies and breathing problems to the residents. Factory production and business activities alongside the Margalla Railway Station experience negative effects due to the deteriorating road quality.
Local residents have started to show their impatience because the project timeline remains unknown. Several people consider that the authorities should have executed better planning to prevent this level of disturbance.
Residents are making two separate demands to the authorities one request being faster construction work and the other asking for proper alternate routes.
Daily operations together with business activities continue to suffer which leads the residents of I-10 sector to call for urgent intervention from the authorities.
