Apple users in Pakistan can now exchange their old iPhones for the iPhone 16 through the country’s first-ever Apple exchange programme, also known globally as the Apple Trade-In programme.
The programme has been launched by Mercantile Pakistan, an Apple-authorised distributor for the country.
According to the official Instagram page of Mercantile Pakistan, customers can trade in their iPhones for an iPhone 16 under the programme, which began on 7 March.
To be eligible for the iPhone 16 series model, users must have an iPhone 11 or a newer model. Additionally, there are specific terms and conditions that customers must review before proceeding with the exchange.
Conditions for iPhone Exchange Programme in Pakistan
For participation in the exchange programme, your Apple device must be approved by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). Devices that are non-PTA approved or JV-locked cannot be traded in under this programme.
The original box of your iPhone is also required, along with the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number, to complete the trade-in process.
The website has listed the exchange values for old iPhones, which represent the discount you will receive on a new iPhone based on the model you currently own. For instance, if you have an iPhone 15, you can get a discount of Rs260,000 on the iPhone 16 series.
