In a significant development, gold prices in Pakistan experienced exponential increase on Thursday, rising by Rs7,800 per tola in a single day.
According to All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, gold prices in Pakistan reached a whopping Rs328,800 on April 10 (today).
It merits a mention that the gold prices in Pakistan traditionally mirror global rates of gold. Due to ongoing global economic uncertainty, investors around the world are seeking gold as a safe investment.
The ten grams gold prices in Pakistan increased by a significant Rs6,688, settling at Rs281,893 today.
Internationally, the global gold rates increased by $78, settling at $3118. The increase in gold prices continue to take place because of increased demand of gold in the backdrop of US tariffs on Chinese imports.
Although, the US President Donald trump imposed tariffs on all countries but later announced a 90-day pause for all countries except China.
It should also be highlighted that gold prices in Pakistan increased by Rs3,000 on Wednesday, settling at Rs321,000.
Likewise, the 10 grams gold price in Pakistan has increased by Rs2,572, making its exact price Rs275,205 across the country.
