Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, on Friday reaffirmed Pakistan’s stance of peace while stressing the readiness of Pakistan armed forces.
On April 22, militants attacked Indian tourists in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in Pahalgam area which led to 26 fatalities.
India has put all the blame on Pakistan without providing any evidence and announced the suspension of Indus Waters Treaty.
The Federal Minister stated, “Pakistan is a peaceful country, if any misadventure is committed, it will give a befitting reply.”
While holding a news conference, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that India has created another false drama and is now in panic.
“Their panic has become evident due to fake encounters. India had only threatened and Pakistan has done it. Pakistan’s airspace is closed for Indian airlines, due to which India is suffering heavy economic losses. Several flights have been canceled and some are running on long routes.”
The minister referred to the National Security Committee’s response to Indian threats by closing Pakistani airspace for Indian airlines and cancelling visas of all Indians under SAARC visa exemption.
It further noted that any attempt by India to divert its rightful water would be taken as an “act of war” and Pakistan would respond with the full spectrum of state power.
Attaullah Tarar said that India tried to carry out a false flag operation and create an issue at the global level. “The Indian government hastily made a statement to unilaterally terminate the Indus Waters Treaty without reading it,” he added.
He further added that Pakistan is fully prepared to respond to any misadventure. “Pakistan is a peaceful country but knows how to respond to any misadventure.”
