The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) has approved the establishment of Fly Jinnah T3 Flight Academy (Private) Limited, a joint venture between Fly Jinnah Services (Private) Limited and Air Arabia Academy LLC.

The new academy is expected to enhance the quality and availability of aviation training in Pakistan, marking a major step forward for the country’s aviation education sector.

Fly Jinnah, a commercial airline operator, and Air Arabia Academy, a UAE-based aviation training institute, will jointly invest in the new training facility. The CCP reviewed their pre-merger application under the Competition (Merger Control) Regulations, 2016, and found no competition concerns, as there is no overlap between the two entities.

Operating independently, Fly Jinnah T3 Flight Academy will provide advanced aviation training services, strengthen technical training infrastructure, and create new skill development opportunities. The CCP’s assessment confirmed that the merger would not reduce competition or create market dominance, leading to its approval under Section 31(1)(d)(i) of the Act.

This initiative is set to boost aviation training in Pakistan, equipping aspiring aviation professionals with world-class skills and contributing to the overall growth of the sector.
