Apple on Wednesday announced the launch of its new MacBook Air, featuring the latest M4 chip, extended battery life, new AI capabilities and an innovative sky blue colour.
The M4 version has been launched with a price tag of $999, which is a $100 lower starting price compared to previous generations.
The laptop brings various improvements over the previous models due to its enhanced M4 chipset and new artificial intelligence capabilities improving its speed and user interface.
The company has also introduced a strikingly beautiful sky blue colour for the laptop along with metallic light blue that joins midnight, starlight, and silver colours.
It offers two sizes – 13 inches and 15 inches – which are available for pre-order on the official apple website while fans could get their hands on the new machine as soon as March 12 in the United States.
Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Greg Joswiak, stated: “This is by far the world’s most popular laptop, and today we’re giving everyone even more reasons to love it, including a big boost in performance with the M4 chip, a new Center Stage camera, and a beautiful new sky blue color.”

While Apple has not announced the official pricing for its latest laptop for Pakistan but we can estimate its cost based on its international price and previous generations’ prices in Pakistan.
- 13-inch MacBook Air (M4): Expected price 280,000 – 300,000 PKR
- 15-inch MacBook Air (M4): Estimated to cost 340,000 – 360,000 PKR
For comparison, the previous M3 MacBook Air models were priced higher at launch:
- 13-inch MacBook Air (M3): Started around 300,000 – 320,000 PKR
- 15-inch MacBook Air (M3): Priced at approximately 360,000 – 380,000 PKR
