WEBDESK: As production kicks off for Emily in Paris Season 5, fans are in for a surprise. One of the show’s original stars, Camille Razat, will not be returning for the upcoming season. Her character, Camille, has been a major player since the beginning, shifting from Emily’s close friend to her romantic rival. But now, her time in the series has come to an end.

Emily in Paris season 5: Cast

Netflix confirmed that filming for the new season will start in May, with the story taking viewers to Rome before returning to the streets of Paris. Lily Collins will return as Emily Cooper, joined by familiar faces like Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Ashley Park (Mindy), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), and William Abadie (Antoine). Lucas Bravo, who plays Emily’s longtime love interest Gabriel, will also be back, putting rumours of his departure to rest.

Camille’s exit follows the dramatic end to her relationship with Gabriel in Season 4. After a false pregnancy scare and the collapse of their engagement, Camille decided to walk away, leaving Gabriel to reflect on his future. As Emily heads to Rome to lead Agence Grateau’s new office, Gabriel makes a last-minute decision to follow her to Italy. With Camille out of the picture, the door may finally be open for a deeper connection between Emily and Gabriel.

Also returning is Lucien Laviscount as Alfie, Emily’s ex-boyfriend, and Eugenio Franceschini as Marcello, Emily’s new Italian flame introduced last season. While Netflix hasn’t confirmed if Marcello is now a series regular, his continued presence hints at a growing storyline.

Though Emily in Paris is expanding to Rome, the show isn’t leaving Paris behind completely. Creator Darren Star shared that Emily will split her time between the two cities, offering fans a fresh mix of fashion, romance, and career adventures in new surroundings.

As the show evolves, Season 5 promises more surprises, personal growth, and possibly a new chapter in Emily’s love life, especially with Camille gone and Gabriel finally ready to fight for what he wants.
