ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced the schedule for Eid holidays and spring break for educational institutions under its umbrella. According to the official notification, all Islamabad Model Schools/Colleges, Ex-F.G. Colleges (both boys and girls) in urban and rural areas will observe a break from March 31 2025 to April 4 2025.
The announcement comes as a part of the academic calendar for 2025, and the break will coincide with the Eid celebrations, providing students and staff with time off.
Moreover, the new academic session for all institutions is scheduled to commence on April 7 2025. This move has been approved by the Director General of the Federal Directorate of Education, ensuring that the educational institutes adhere to the new calendar.
The Pakistani federal government has announced a three-day Eid holiday from March 31st to April 2nd. Eidul-fitr is expected on March 31st in Pakistan.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will sit together to sight the Shawwal moon. The sighting of Shawwal moon would mark the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan in Pakistan.
