A tragic incident in Bannu on Chand Raat resulted in the death of a child and left 21 people seriously injured due to aerial firing, hospital officials confirmed.
MTI Hospital Bannu Board of Governors (BOG) member Sikandar Hayat Khan rushed to District Headquarters Hospital on an emergency visit. He assured that all injured individuals were receiving full medical treatment.
Sikandar Hayat Khan urged the public to avoid aerial firing, emphasising that a few moments of joy should not destroy someone’s home.
Due to the high number of casualties, an emergency was declared at the hospital. Surgeons were busy performing operations on the injured, according to Sikandar Hayat Khan.
He also appealed to religious scholars to make announcements via loudspeakers in mosques, urging people to stop aerial firing.
