WEBDESK: Apple Original Films has revealed the first official trailer for F1, a racing drama that stars Brad Pitt as former Formula 1 driver Sonny Hayes.

Hollywood star Brad Pitt is set to bring high-speed action to the big screen in his upcoming film F1, where he plays Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 driver making a comeback. The movie, directed by Joseph Kosinski and co-produced by seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, aims for extreme realism by featuring actual race cars and real F1 circuits.

In preparation for his role, Brad Pitt and co-star Damson Idris trained extensively, driving F2 cars at speeds exceeding 180 mph. The film captures authentic racing sequences, making it one of the most realistic Motorsports movies ever made. The production team even filmed during actual F1 race weekends, further adding to the film’s credibility.

“We wanted to capture the raw speed and adrenaline of Formula 1 racing,” Kosinski revealed, emphasizing that every track scene features real footage shot between practice sessions at races across Silverstone, Las Vegas, and Abu Dhabi.

The F1 movie focuses on Hayes mentoring rookie driver Joshua Pearce (played by Idris) as they compete for the fictional APXGP team. Brad Pitt himself has called the experience an “adrenaline rush,” and the movie promises an intense mix of drama, speed, and action.

The much-anticipated film will hit IMAX and theaters on June 27, 2025, in North America and June 25 internationally. With its high-speed stunts and real-life racing action, F1 is expected to be a thrilling watch for both Motorsports fans and movie lovers.
