LAHORE (Azaad English): The Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif declared her intention to establish an exclusive bus service for rural women. The system will establish transportation service between villages to help women get from one area to another.

Punjab Bus Service for Rural Women

The CM issued instructions to authorities to create a transport plan especially focused on women during their Saturday meeting. Each rural tehsil (town) will have bus services that will operate to district headquarters according to the new plan.

The issue of rural transportation for women needs immediate attention according to Maryam Nawaz Sharif since women currently lack proper transport solutions. She felt distressed by women enduring difficult and uncomfortable travel on public routes. The newly implemented bus service for rural women offers eased and comfortable travel opportunities to female students together with women seeking medical attention.

The Punjab government launched its new electric bus service within Lahore during its recent timeframe. The substantial population of Lahore calls for enhanced accessible and economical transportation options which accommodate the specific needs of students. The electric bus system will establish environmental-friendly transportation that prioritizes disabled persons and student traveling needs.

This new bus service for rural women expects to create essential benefits which will enhance their independence and accessibility to transportation.

Beside this Punjab government has also launched Blue Metro that is Lahore’s first underground metro train. It is a 27 Kilometre long project which will start from Valencia Town to Babu Sabu Chowk.
