WEBDESK: Islamabad’s driving license system recently received a major upgrade in January 2025, as the Islamabad Traffic Police introduced a new fee structure along with digital driver’s licenses. The updated license renewal fee and other charges were announced to make the process more secure and efficient for all drivers in the capital.

Why You Need a Driving License

A driving license is not just a legal requirement; it’s a testament to your ability to operate a vehicle safely and responsibly. Holding a valid license ensures that you have undergone the necessary training and assessments to drive on public roads.

How to Obtain a Driving License

To acquire a driving license in Pakistan, you must first apply for a learner’s permit, which involves passing a theoretical test on traffic rules and regulations. After a stipulated period, you can take a practical driving test. Upon successful completion, you are issued a driving license.
