Bangladesh Cricket Team will visit Pakistan in the coming months after both countries’ teams exited the Champions Trophy 2025 early.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Faruque Ahmed has made the announcement in this regard.
The cricket team will come to Pakistan in May for three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20 matches and then Pakistan might go again to Bangladesh for a short tour in July/August 2025.
It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan last toured Bangladesh in 2021.
“I have also spoken about Bangladesh Cricket Team being part of a [Pakistan] tri-series in the future, wherever it is, if it is held at a suitable time for us”, the president said.
Litton Das is likely to be appointed as the new captain of the Bangladesh Cricket Team. However, Pakistan has not announced its squad yet for the upcoming series.
The BCB is also planning a farewell for Mushfiqur, who announced his retirement from ODIs last week. “We will plan on how to give Mushfiqur Rahim a proper farewell. He is probably one of the legends of our team,” Faruque said.
Pakistan and Bangladesh were set to face each other in the Champions Trophy 2025 on February 27. However, the match was washed out.
Pakistan’s upcoming series
In another news, Pakistan’s upcoming series against New Zealand is scheduled from March 16 to April 5.
Pakistan team will take part in a series consisting of 5 T20 and 3 ODI matches during their tour of New Zealand.
