WEBDESK (Azaad English): According to the weather update by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) , irregular rainfall along with windy conditions across Pakistan including Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Islamabad during the night of Monday until Tuesday are predicted.
The meteorological report indicates that both snowfall and rain will occur in mountainous regions.
Lahore and Punjab Weather Update
Intense winds with periodic showers will affect Rawalpindi as well as Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Lahore on Monday night through Tuesday. Some parts of Pakistan experience hail when storms occur.
Heavy precipitation together with snow accumulations in the hilly areas of Murree and Galliyat region will result in considerable temperature fluctuations. Before this Murree experienced temperature drops to 0°C which made it the chilliest point in Punjab. The upcoming days in Lahore will bring average temperatures between 13°C to 15°C.
Islamabad and Rawalpindi Weather update
Rain and strong winds will hit the Pakistani cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi and other areas of northern Punjab Province. The PMD forecasts occasional heavy rainfall and snowfall over the hills in Murree, Galliyat, and the Potohar region.


The temperature projection for Rawalpindi stands at 11°C to 13°C alongside Islamabad with 8°C to 10°C. The recorded relative humidity in Islamabad reached 94% during evening hours.
Islamabad also experienced a pleasant weather with light rainfall on Monday before sehri.
Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Weather update
The northern districts of KP including Swat and Mansehra along with Peshawar and Abbottabad expect rain together with windy conditions to occur starting on Monday evening through Tuesday. The tourist destinations of Malam Jabba and Kalam along with other local areas will probably receive snow.
The previous snow records from Malam Jabba totaled 19 inches and Kalam gathered 18 inches of snow. The predicted temperature range in Peshawar will be between 10°C and 12°C accompanied by significant humidity levels.

Coldest Areas and Temperature Drops
Local meteorological data shows Leh holds the position as the most frigid region of Pakistan where temperatures reach -9°C. The area of Parachinar and Kalam together with Malam Jabba show temperatures at -3°C and -1°C respectively.
