KARACHI: After the federal government’s announcement, the Sindh government has also declared Eid holidays. According to the official notification issued by the Sindh government, public and semi-government offices will remain closed from March 31 Monday to April 2 Wednesday for Eid celebrations.

Earlier, the federal government had also announced a three-day holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr from March 31 to April 2.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will sit together to sight the Shawwal moon and has decided to meet on March 30 (Sunday) to perform the moon sighting ceremony of Shawwal moon to determine the date of Eid ul Fitr 2025.The sighting of Shawwal moon would mark the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan in Pakistan.

Astronomers have predicted that Ramadan will last for 29 days this year, and Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be celebrated on March 31. If Ramadan extends to 30 days, then Eid will fall on April 1 Tuesday.
