WEBDESK: CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz has announced a groundbreaking digital training program aimed at empowering rural women through technology on Friday. The initiative will provide IT education, online training, and essential tools to help women earn from home.

CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz emphasized that technology education is not just a skill but a gateway to financial independence. Under this initiative, 27,000 women from rural areas will receive training in IT, web development, and coding. This program aims to create new job opportunities for them in the global IT sector.
She stated that rural women will be economically empowered through IT and digital technology, and online training for rural women will eliminate distance barriers.
To support their learning journey, participants will receive scholarships during the six-month training. After completing the program under the Punjab Skills Development Authority, they will be provided with desktop computers and free Wi-Fi devices, ensuring they can work from home without any financial barriers.
