The Sindh government has announced a major public welfare initiative aiming to provide opportunities to women by giving them independent green mobility.

The government of Sindh has announced that the draw schedule for the EV scooter scheme for women will be held next month.

The EV scooter scheme for women aims to increase opportunities for women by providing them with independence and climate-friendly mobility in the city.

According to details, the provincial government will distribute around 1,000 EV scooters for women.

Detailed research has shown that women’s mobility is significantly important for their well-being, economic empowerment, and social progress.

And limiting or restricting women’s mobility, either through societal taboos or unsafe public transport, can limit their access to employment, education, healthcare, and essential services.

In the first phase of the EV scooter scheme for women, around one thousand women will receive the EV scooters after a lottery draw.
