LAHORE: The Punjab Education Department has announced new school timings that will be followed after the Eidul Fitr holidays in 2025. These timings will take effect from April 7 and will continue until October 15.
School Timings for Single and Double Shifts
For single-shift schools, classes will begin at 8:00 am and end at 1:30 pm. On Fridays, schools will close earlier at 12:00 pm.
For double-shift schools, the first shift classes will run from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. On Fridays, the first shift will end at 12:00 pm. while second shift Classes will start at 1:00 pm and conclude at 5:30 pm. On Fridays, the second shift will begin at 2:30 pm.
Eid Holidays for Punjab Schools
Schools across Punjab will remain closed from March 28 (Friday) to April 6 (Sunday). Classes will resume on April 7, marking the beginning of the new academic year.
The Secretary of the School Education Department confirmed this announcement, saying that the extended break will allow students and teachers to celebrate Eid with their families and return refreshed for the new term.
College Eid Holidays
The Punjab Higher Education Department has also issued a notification for Eid holidays in colleges. As per the announcement, all public and private colleges in Punjab will remain closed from March 28 (Friday) to April 2 (Wednesday).
Meanwhile hot and dry weather is expected across the country on Eid, with temperatures expected to be 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above normal. Citizens are advised to take necessary precautions to cope with the rising heat.
