WEBDESK: The Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif together with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz performed their Umrah ritual on Saturday during their official visit to Saudi Arabia. They were accompanied by a high-level delegation from Pakistan.

PM Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Makkah on Friday and performed special prayers at the Holy Kaaba. He prayed for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan and the entire Muslim Ummah. The prime minister also offered additional prayers (Nawafil) in the sacred mosque.

Before arriving in Makkah, PM Shehbaz Sharif visited Madinah, where he paid his respects at Roza-e-Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him). He also prayed at Masjid-e-Nabawi, seeking blessings for the nation.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, PM Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The meeting focused on strengthening the partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Both leaders discussed ways to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and defense. They agreed to work together for regional peace and stability.

The Saudi Crown Prince voiced appreciation for all Pakistani workers serving in Saudi Arabia and provided commitments for their well-being. Both leaders make plans to boost cultural exchange initiatives and educational access between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

During the meeting the PM brought along his deputy prime minister, the Chief of the Army Staff and the Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz. During the visit both nations strengthened their economic bonds and diplomatic connections through strengthened relations.

PM Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Saudi leadership for their hospitality and support. He expressed hope that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would continue to work together for mutual growth and development.
