WEBDESK: Pakistan weather update: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has said that Islamabad and nearby areas can expect partly cloudy skies, with the possibility of rain in the coming days.
While the ongoing heatwave has kept large parts of the country in its grip, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast some relief in the coming days.
Gusty winds and dust storms could hit parts of southern Punjab, especially around Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Dera Ghazi Khan.
Islamabad recorded a maximum temperature of 33°C on Sunday, with morning humidity at 92 per cent. In nearby Rawalpindi, the day also peaked at 34°C, and relative humidity was recorded at 92 per cent.
In Punjab, while hot and sticky weather is forecast for most areas, rainfall is expected in parts of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, and Sargodha. Southern districts such as Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bahawalnagar could face strong winds and dust storms.
Much of Punjab will continue to face hot and sticky weather.
In Sindh, most districts are expected to remain very hot and humid. The central and upper areas of the province will likely see especially intense heat during the daytime.
The Meteorological Department has urged the public to take proper care and stay safe as the heatwave continues in several areas.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most parts of the province will stay hot and humid. However, some cities such as Swat, Dir, Abbottabad, and Haripur may see some rainfall.
Over in Sindh, daytime temperatures will remain very high, particularly in central and upper districts.
Meanwhile, most parts of Balochistan will stay dry and hot, with intense heat expected in its southern and eastern areas. Dry and hot weather is expected to dominate across the region.

Residents across the country have been advised to take precautions as the heatwave persists, though relief may gradually come with the expected rainfall and thunderstorms in some regions over the weekend.
