Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir addressed the commissioning parade of the 123rd Midshipman and 31st Short Service Commission course at the Pakistan Naval Academy.

He said it was an honor to inspect the parade. He praised the cadets for their turnout and discipline. He said the cadets had met the expectations of the nation. The top commander congratulated award-winning cadets and those from Turkey, Bahrain, Iraq, Palestine, and Djibouti.

Field Marshal Asim Munir told the cadets that they were joining a navy known for strong values and skills. He asked them to improve their operational capabilities. He said naval warfare was changing fast. He said Pakistan must keep a strong maritime force.

Talking about India, the Army Chief said India shows aggressive behavior. He said India uses military power and nationalism for political goals. Field Marshal Asim Munir said India carried out two unprovoked attacks on Pakistan in recent years. He reiterated that Pakistan’s measured response stopped wider conflict.

“Pakistan chose peace, but this should not be taken as weakness. Any attack on Pakistan’s sovereignty would be a serious mistake. Pakistan would defend its interests without hesitation.”

Filed Marshal Asim Munir also stated Pakistan is increasing its national strength.

Field Marshal Munir quoted a verse from the Quran referring to verse 249 of Surah Baqarah, explaining, “How often has it happened that a small number defeated a large number by the command of Allah. And Allah is with those who are patient.”

He said Pakistan has become stronger through difficult times.

“India tries to create tension when Pakistan is close to winning its war against terrorism. Pakistan will finish this war and defeat terrorism fully.”

He also spoke about Kashmir. He said Pakistan supports a just solution under UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people. “Kashmir’s struggle is not terrorism, but a legal freedom movement.”

“We must remember the sacrifices of our Kashmiri brothers, who are struggling against India’s illegal occupation.”

Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, referring to verse 54 of Surah Al Imran, said;

Allah Almighty says:
“They plotted, and Allah planned, and Allah is the best of planners.”

He said there can be no lasting peace in South Asia without solving the Kashmir issue. He paid tribute to the martyrs of Kashmir. He said Pakistan will always support the Kashmiri people.

“I pay tribute to the brave Kashmiris who are still engaged in the struggle for freedom. The oppressive Indian government can never dampen the courage and morale of the Kashmiris,” concluded the Field Marshal.
